Jewelry Collection named Blason Launched with Fashion house, Louis Vuitton

Rapper/producer Pharrell Williams and designer Camille Miceli will unveil a new fine jewelry collection named Blason being launched with Fashion house, Louis Vuitton. Williams first teamed with Louis Vuitton in 2004, when the producer/rapper and A Bathing Ape creator Nigo created the “Millionaire” line of sunglasses for the company. The Blason jewelry line, which features four separate themes, features yellow and white gold in diamonds.

Foxwoods’ New Shops Pushing Posh

Think more Vegas than southeastern Connecticut. In an attempt to position itself as a world-class resort attracting world-class guests, Foxwoods Resort Casino announced Sunday the addition of several luxury shops that will be included in its $55 million renovation project and at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods, the $700 million hotel scheduled to open in May. From the modern décor to the retail offerings, Foxwoods is aiming higher in its newest venture, with the goal of carrying the renewed quality and sophistication to the rest of the expansive property.

Jewelry line addition blamed for Alpha Omega bankruptcy

The downfall of Alpha Omega, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection late Wednesday night with $31.6 million-plus in debt, proved to be owner Raman Handa’s decision to augment sales of luxury watches by delving into higher-margin fine jewelry, according to court filings.

Mumbai, India—A total of 11 Indian firms were eliminated as sightholders in the Diamond Trading Co. (DTC)’s recent realignment, causing grave concern among industry leaders there.

India’s Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), the main body of the gem and jewelry trade in India, released a statement today pointing out that the realignment means a 25 percent loss in processing capacity for India.
